Digital Garden - Me
My seeds (notes) often contain random things that have nothing to do with anything. Just things I love. Sometimes those are new things. Sometimes they are old loves rediscovered. They always mean something. How much? Who knows.
I just want to remember them when I am old.
"As long as you live, keep learning how to live." - Seneca Proverb
And the Oneida woman says "Yo"
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."

Music
Music. I think its a universal language. Sound. Drums. Beat of the heart. Sway of the wind. Touch of the sun. Soundtrack of our lives. I love music. Most kinds, but especially the beats. I blame my genetics. Drums... the way to my heart. They speak to it. Love a beat.
Music that I love. Old, new. Strange. Mainstream.

Drums
I wonder if all our tribes started with drums? Celtic, Norse, Native Americans, Japanese... That would be interesting to know.
Apparently, humans had a sort of drum called and "idiophone" made from Mammoth Bones in 70,000 BC found in what is today called Belgium.

Nature
What if nature was prescribed? Would we care for it more? Would we protect it more? Would we need less and want to DO more? I love being outside. I wonder what outside is going to be like for me as I age? As the world changes?

Stories & Books
I am not much of a reader of books anymore. I used to be a long time ago. I would devour them. But then I found the internet. I wonder what getting back to books could do for me? My husband reads me books sometimes. It is probably the sweetest thing someone has done for me.
Books were the way we passed information a long for centuries. Now everything is digital. What happens if all those servers get destroyed in some catastrophe?
How much do we lose?

Movies
Who doesn't love a good movie? I have been watching movies since I was a child. I still remember the VHS tapes. Over and over I would watch Anne of Green Gables. I wonder what movies of the future will be like?
I watch fewer movies these days. They don't seem to be as good. Maybe the old ones are worth rewatching...

Inspiring
I don't look for people to inspire me. Some just do. I get most of my inspiration from just... everything. But as I get older, I find myself willing and wanting to look toward others. I wonder if that is an age thing? Why we ignore wisdom as young people and make all the mistakes of those who told us not to?
Inspiration can come from anywhere, at any time.

What if we could translate any language instantly? Even 5,000 year old lost dialects? Would what we learn change everything?

What if fake flowers were as beautiful as the real ones?

Aging
I guess its finally happening. Getting old. Its not so bad. I think its just a state of mind really. Age. But I do think of things different. Want different things. Even the food I like is changing. Good. Bad. It is.
My thoughts on this journey...
Minutes are the new points. (time)
Experiences are the new things. (growth)

Adventures
Into the wild. Into the known. Into the unknown. Time is ticking. I want to go see beautiful places and eat amazing food and know that I have been somewhere that has soaked into my bones and changed my DNA.
My younger self longed for adventure, but she couldn't have imagined where she'd end up. The things she would do and see.

Minimalism
I want less. I want to do more.
